The beach was also voted the best family beach in the Palm Beach County by The Palm Beach Post in the year 2001.
Boynton Beach was first found by Nathan S. Boynton which is where the location gets its name from. Nathan S. Boynton was the one who built the famous Boynton Hotel and the Boynton Beach was first founded on September 26th 1898 by Byrd Spilman Dewey and her husband.
Boynton Beach just like Palm Beach is served by the School District of Palm Beach County and has become the fifth largest school district in Florida as of 2006 and is the twelfth largest school district in the whole United States.
